9D8N Orangutan & Dayak Culture
9 Days / 8 Nights
Day
Airport/hotel pick-up in Pangkalan Bun. Transfer to hotel (Mercure or similar). Briefing.
Day
Board private klotok. Cruise Sekonyer River. Visit Tanjung Harapan Camp for first orangutan encounter. Overnight on klotok or Rimba Lodge area.
Day
Visit Pondok Tanggui and Camp Leakey feeding stations. Jungle walks and wildlife observation. Overnight on boat/lodge.
Day
2–3 hour jungle trek. Canoe on Black River. Visit traditional village. Firefly watching. Overnight on the boat.
Day
Return to Kumai then overland to Lamandau / Dayak community area.
Day
Traditional welcome ceremony (Garung Pantan). Stay in villager house / long house. Village school visit, jungle trekking with community, long house & traditional cemetery, Ikat Tongang ritual, traditional dance, fire making, bamboo rice cooking, blowgun, rice wine. River swimming.
Day
Continue cultural activities then transfer back toward Pangkalan Bun.
Day
Transfer to Pangkalan Bun Airport. Trip ends.
